Work Environment

The firm's size and informal structure lend themselves to a friendly and open atmosphere. Our offices are spacious and comfortable. The firm has a large private law library, containing both a wide variety of legal publications and terminals that can access both on-line research services and the increasing amount of information that is being stored in CD-ROM format.

The firm has been, and continues to be, at the forefront of law firm automation. This arrangement facilitates document-sharing and e-mail communication among the attorneys and staff and provides each attorney with access to on-line and CD-ROM legal research. Support staff and attorneys work closely together to provide the best in client service.

Organizational Structure

Mellina & Larson is organized as a professional legal corporation. Ownership and control of the firm is held by the shareholder/directors, David M. Mellina and Jack E. Larson. The firm's shareholders serve on a board of directors, and Jack E. Larson acts as managing director overseeing the firm's day-to-day operations. The firm's board of directors handles policy issues and other major issues. We utilize staff employees and outside consultants and professionals in the areas of accounting, information systems, personnel and operations with respect to firm administrative matters in an effort to support and facilitate the efficient delivery of legal services to our clients.
